Cengiz Şahin Sercan was born in Istanbul and completed his undergraduate education in Industrial Engineering at Istanbul University. He has worked and held management positions in various levels of purchasing and supply chain departments in international organizations for approximately 25 years. He has taken part in many international projects, particularly in industrial fields and strategic purchasing. He is active in many non-governmental organizations to develop the purchasing profession and raise it to an academic level.
He is currently continuing his career at a German automotive sub-industry company and lectures at universities and private institutions. In addition to the automotive sector, he has practical experience in the defense industry, chemical, and white goods sectors.
His main areas of expertise include supply chain management, purchasing strategies and process management, lean purchasing and productivity improvement, multi-negotiation management, cost improvement, and localization, and he provides training and consultancy in these areas.
